Great Big Quilts

Some big cozy quilts this week from the long armers! Wendy quilted this one that Sherrill pieced. Perfect for the falling leaves and fall weather.

These colors are similar to the ones in our latest drive and I am loving how those blocks are looking at they come in.

Priscilla pieced this pastel chain top and Pam quilted it.

And this blue and yellow top was pieced by Jeanine and quilted by Pam.

Pam has an uncanny knack for perfectly flat, smooth bindings. I'm terribly impressed.

Her bindings are so smooth I had a hard time getting my gravity clamps to hold onto the quilts.

Marianne made this pretty patchwork top and Linda quilted it with flowers.

And lastly, team Pam and Pam. This top was pieced by Pam C and quilted by Pam M.

Beautiful color combo!

Covered in Love is a 501(c)(3) charity that donates quilts to patients dying in the hospital, over 800 so far! The September/October drive is running now, check out the main post HERE if you want to get involved.

  4. That quilt in fall colors really is gorgeous. I'm sure the current block will even exceed expectations. While they're all lovely quilts by gracious and talented volunteers, that last one in blue and brown really caught my eye. We don't usually see that color scheme in a scrappy quilt and it's wonderful. It reminds me of a vintage Amish-style. Well done Pam's and you've given me some inspiration for my next sure-to-be unfinished project!! LOL

  7. All of the newly finished quilts are just beautiful. I'm especially drawn to the fall colors in the first quilt & can't wait to see the finished quilts from the Sept./Oct. block drive. Kat, you have a wonderful group of volunteers who put in precious time to help you finish a lot of the quilts. Thanks to all who have helped with this new collection of quilts & those who have helped in the past & those currently helping. Thanks is just not good enough for all that you & your helpers do for the cause.
