Happy Friday, quilters! Some bright and beautiful quilts to show this week courtesy of Julie.
These have been on my shelf for way too long, but I got them finished as part of my recent quilting spree,
I quilted all of these with a simple stipple. I just love the colors and fabrics, Julie must have such a fun fabric stash!
I've decided recently that no more than 60" in the shorter is a good limit of what I can comfortably quilt on my midarm machine. I can definitely do more, but I feel like I can really buzz through the smaller quilts.
I LOVE the design of this quilt, and the fabrics are very cool. They are Alice in Wonderland themed with metallic gold accents.
These next two are the same color palette and pattern. I didn't even realize there were two of them until I got to the photo stage and thought I have accidentally photographed the same one twice.
Julie (or anyone), if you know the pattern please comment with it. It's a very effective, simple pattern to show off cool fabrics.
(The borders are different colors, so there definitely are two different quilts)
Thank you, Julie! Sorry it took so long to finish.

Oh, I love this batch! Great finishes, Kat! So much bold, vibrant color. The on-point Alice in Wonderland one is fantastic, and I'm a big fan of sixteen patches, too. I hear you about the 60" max width. It's a good size to finish without feeling tired afterwards! Many thanks to Julie for providing these wonderful tops.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on breezing through so many of Julie's tops. Lots of fun fabrics for the recipients to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteJulie's color selections in her quilts are really, really nice. I love them all! Kat, you do beautiful stippling. Thanks to all who were a part of these quilts.
ReplyDeleteAwe, Fudge just loves Sundae....sweet!
What a beautiful batch of quilts! Julie's quilts look like Fourteen Squared by Hunter's Design Studio. The Alice in Wonderland quilt looks like The Penny Quilt by Kitchen Table Quilting. But I confess my favorite of this batch is that lovely 16 patch!
