Happy Friday, Quilters! Sorry I missed posting last week. I did deliver 30 more quilts to the hospital. We've surpassed 1600 total!
Christy has sent in several batches of shirtings tops over the years and they are still some of my favorites. I have been quilting these bit by bit and still have some to go.
They all just quilted with a simple stipple. I had fun choosing very cozy and homey fabrics for the backing and binding to compliment the shirts.
I hope you all had a good Halloween and ate way too much candy. I definitely did. There was candy everywhere at the hospital.
I might try to get my Christmas Lights up on the porch this weekend. I know it's only November, but they make me happy.
Here's a throwback photo to Fudge in his Halloween costume a few years ago.

ReplyDeleteThese are just the most cozy quilts ever! Thank you to Christy for piecing them and of course to you, Kat, for your lovely finishes. And congratulations to all of us for 1600 donated quilts! WOW, what a milestone!
ReplyDeleteI love quilts like this one.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to quilts, you can give me a simple, cozy quilt with stippling quilting & a big comfy chair & I as happy as a bug in a rug. All the quilts are absolutely lovely. Congrats on 1600 + quilts to the hospitals. Your organization is totally awesome.
ReplyDeleteI remember Fudge's costume from time back. It made me laugh then & made me laugh today. Oh my Fudge, what big eyes you have!
Love those cozy shirting quilts and congrats on such a huge donation milestone! Have always loved your cause and must put participating in your block drives again on my list of "must do" for 2025.
