Red, White, and Blue: Batch 2
Yes, the next four quilts from last summer's red, white, and blue star blocks drive are done! (You can see the first batch here). These 4 were assembled and quilted by me.
Thank you to those of you left nice comments on my last post. It's heartwarming to hear how much participating in CiL means to so many of you.
Here you can see one of the great fabrics I had donated to go with these, featuring fireworks!
This quilt below is a collection of more "old fashioned" looking blocks, mostly with tan or khaki backgrounds.
These were mostly blocks with larger designs. I especially love the carpenter's star block and the heart flag.
The quilt closet is getting very full so a delivery will be happening in the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone who participated!
You weekly cat-- this is often the view from my bed looking up :)
Covered in Love is a 501(c)(3) charity that donates quilts to patients dying in the hospital, over 500 so far! The Jan/Feb drive is going on now. Check out the main post HERE if you want to get involved.

What wonderful additions to the quilt closet!! The chaplains will be SEW pleased when they see you coming with the next bundle of quilts.
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a gorgeous batch of quilts! And love your 'looking up' view. I had to put my old (17 1/2) boy to sleep two days before Christmas. I miss him every day.
ReplyDeleteGreat Quilts - but the cat - oh my gosh!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, finished, quilts! Can't wait to hear about the delivery.
ReplyDeleteWow! Such gorgeous quilts.
ReplyDeleteThe Red, White & Blues always make such pretty quilts & will be a blessing to those families who receive them. The fireworks backing fabric is perfect. Speaking of purrfect....how about that Fudge? He can just hop down off that shelf when he needs to cuddle up with you & Sundae. Thanks to all the contributors to your star block drive .... CiL's block drive helpers are the VERY BEST!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice bunch of CiL quilts! Oh, those kitty feets!
