Hey everyone, we're getting closer to Fall and I can't wait for the cool nights to start! Thank you to everyone who donated block to the Project Linus in Uvalde during out previous drive. I don't have any totals to give you yet, but I will share once I know.
For this next drive we are going to do a block called Scrap Bin Geese from Andy at A Bright Corner. We'll make these blocks just like her tutorial, same colors and everything. We used this as a do. Good Stitches block in my group a while back and it was fun and made an awesome quilt.
You'll notice that there are right and left handed blocks. With the geese pointing up please make all your blocks with grey on the right and low volume on the left.
So, to recap:
- low volume, grey, and green
- 12.5" blocks
- keep the grey on the right (with geese oriented up)
- tutorial HERE
For anyone new to Covered in Love, we run these block drives every two months and have been since 2015. Anyone can participate and make as few or as many blocks as you like.
Email CoveredinLoveTx@gmail.com for the address and get your blocks in the mail by the end of October. Our blocks are combined together into quilts to be given to the families of dying patients in East Texas hospitals to bring comfort in a dark time.
But you show a picture of gray on the left also
