Mel Quilts

Happy Friday, everyone! Meloney down in south Texas recently returned these three quilts that she quilted and bound for CiL.

This first top was sent in my Kathy B. I really like this scrappy basket weave pattern. I know I've thought about using it in a block drive before.

This Red white and blue top is from Heather. I'm not sure if the hexy flowers were a functional necessity to cover up some kind of issue or just added for fun, but I like them.

This last scrappy blue top is from Priscilla. What do you think of the little punches of green, red, and orange? I wouldn't have thought to do that but I love how they jump out.

My 90-year-old great aunt passed away recently and her favorite color was blue. She had a steel blue casket picked out. She was a feisty little lady, I wouldn't mind being like her if I get to that age

Covered in Love is a 501(c)(3) charity that donates quilts to patients dying in the hospital, over 1600 so far! The Summer 2025 block drive is live now.  Check out the main post HERE if you want to get involved.

Condolences on the loss of your great aunt. Fond memories will last you a lifetime.
