UFOs No More (continued)

Happy weekend, once again! I'm bringing you the second half of the batch of quilts Louise sent back to me recently.  This pretty Flying Geese quilt is the second (first here) to come from a partly done quilt kit that was sent to us by Gail.

Louise came up with a new design for the blocks that turned them into 2 quilts smaller than the original quilt and perfect for CiL

Next, this quilt came from another kit. This one was kind of an unusual "Lego-style" with various different sizes and shapes of fabric that all fit together easily.  Louise chose simple is best and made a top with simple squares in four patches.

She quilted it with a cool design of overlapping large circles.

This pretty spring-y green quilt featured lots and lots of plaids.

Lastly, this quilt that used a lot of assorted leftover blocks and set them off with fancy quilting.

As soon as I began unpacking the quilts Sundae jumped straight into quality testing!

Covered in Love is a 501(c)(3) charity that donates quilts to patients dying in the hospital, over 600 so far! The Sept/Oct drive is going on now.  Check out the main post HERE if you want to get involved.

  1. I am partial to scrap quilts, but this group of quilts says "covered in love" for sure. They look so warm and welcoming and comforting. Louis sure know how to put those blocks together, doesn't she? Thanks for sharing.

  4. I always look forward to seeing the creative ways Louise uses orphan blocks and scraps. Her pieced backings are just as much fun as the fronts of the quilts.
